Tasting Note

Lovely and vibrant Syrah character with a substantial and dense palate and great, well sustained flavour and length. Fine tannins and loads of potential for development . Northern Rhone Syrah at its best expression.

Producer Note

This family Domaine, located right at the heart of Crozes-Hermitage, was set up in 2006. It is run by Edgar and Jocelyne Girard and their son Sebastien. They produce top quality wines by combining traditional winemaking techniques and modern technology. The wines are produced organically with minimal sulphur. Their wines are certified organic from the 2012 vintage.

Old vines of more than 35 years cultivated organically

Winemaking

The wines are produced organically with a 4-day cold soak prior to controlled fermentation and minimal sulphur use. The juice is extracted naturally without pressing at warm temperatures. A long maceration followed by maturation in oak for 12 months.
