Breezily quaffable Pinot Noir!

Production

Pinot Noir is sourced from Greyrock’s Nelson and Hawke’s Bay vineyards with a range of soil types including gravels, silt and clay loam. The different characteristics of these sites provide depth and complexity of flavour in the wines. After harvest at optimum ripeness fruit was fermented in closed top stainless steel tanks, with gentle maceration via rummage and pump-overs to extract colour and tannins. The wine was inoculated for fermentation and malolactic fermentation. A small portion of oak is used to highlight aromatics and provide additional richness in the palate.

Tasting Note

Varietal berry and ripe cherry aromas, with vibrant flavours of red berries and spice. Fresh and lively palate, with silky tannins and a lingering finish.

Food match

Perfect with salmon, soft brie, mushrooms dishes.
