Zin Heaven is a medium style rose showing red berry and pink grapefruit aromas complemented by a fruity and smooth flavour.

Tasting Note

Classic red berry and pink grapefruit aromas augmented by hints of black pepper and wild herbs. In the mouth its delicate berry flavours have a refreshing citric edge and light peppery spice.

Producer Note

Zin Heaven with its dramatic, theatrical and show-stopping presentation, offers a bright and vibrant rosé made from Italian Primitivo grapes, the natural home of Zinfandel. Evocative of a glamourous era, this Zinfandel Blush is every bit as fruity as its label.

Vineyard

Grown in the native homeland of Zinfandel, Puglia, where it is also known as Primitivo. The grapes were trained on the cordon system, with canopy management ensuring the grapes reach optimum maturity prior to harvesting. The soils in the vineyard are clay and limestone, which have a cooling effect on the vines and produce bold wines.

Winemaking

The grapes were de-stemmed, followed by fermentation, which took place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at a low temperature. The wine was macerated on the skins for 18 hours imparting the rich fruity flavours to the final wine.

Serving Suggestion

Serve chilled as an easy drinking aperitif, this also accompanies lightly flavoured pasta dishes and salads.
