Producer Note

Casa del Valle in Castilla-La Mancha boasts an entirely new winery. The bodega is owned by a group of Riojan growers who between them have 3 decades of winemaking experience, strong financial backing and the most advanced modern technology. The bodega is surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, all chosen for their great suitability for ageing and their well-defined character.

Vineyard

The vines are grown in the Caliza Franco Arenosa soils of Castilla de la Mancha located around the village of Yepes, in the province of Toledo. In the vineyard there is a high proportion of calcareous soil and the vines are trained using the Double Cordon Royat system, while pruning is carried out by hand.

Winemaking

The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in oak casks for three months in order to add depth and complexity to the wine, whilst the Tempranillo was stored in steel vats, prior to blending, in order to preserve the fresh fruit aromas.
